This work sets out the biomimetic method with which Pascal Magne and Urs Belser approach aesthetic restoration of the anterior sector. The starting point is respect for intact tooth structure: the form, colour and intracoronal anatomy of the sound tooth guide both the design of the restoration and the judgement of the result obtained. It covers diagnosis and treatment planning, tooth preparation, the laboratory phase, adhesive techniques and maintenance protocols. It will interest the restorative dentist and the technician equally, both looking for a solid conceptual framework for working with bonded porcelain.
