Farala is an independent health-sciences publisher specialising in dentistry. We publish and select books designed to accompany professionals in their practice: from the surgical atlas you return to again and again to the manual that sees you through years of training and clinical work.

We believe in rigorous, well-edited books made to last. Works in which science, clinical experience and editorial quality come together to turn knowledge into a useful tool.

We work from Barcelona with authors, practitioners, scientific societies and specialists from many countries. And we keep extending our catalogue into other disciplines of the health sciences.

Dentistry is our backbone. But not our limit. We were born with deep experience in dental publishing and with the resolve to bring that same editorial rigour to other areas of the health sciences.

You will find us at congresses, courses and wherever knowledge is shared. And always at the other end of an email.

If you write

How a book is born at Farala

  1. The manuscript

    Everything starts with someone calling: a finished text, an annotated outline or an idea with clinic hours behind it. We read it calmly and we always answer — including when the answer is no, because an author deserves a reasoned no rather than a polite silence.

  2. The editing desk

    Attentive revision, careful nomenclature, clinical images properly reproduced. Each work's record is refined until it can say what it is: an atlas you leave open on the bench, or a treatise you read cover to cover.

  3. The academy

    When a work asks for more than paper, it is taught. The Aula Farala, now in preparation, will bring clinical sessions by leading clinicians to video.

  4. The shelf

    And in the end, the book arrives where it is looked for: its speciality, its full record, its exact place in the catalogue.
