What it is about

Radlanski and Wesker reconstruct the anatomy of the face through highly detailed illustrations that advance plane by plane, always keeping the same viewpoint so that the reader can follow the dissection mentally. The plates, produced from in vivo anatomy and magnetic resonance imaging, record topographical landmarks, relationships between hard and soft tissues and the course of nerves and vessels: from the vascular supply and innervation of the orbital region in relation to the musculature, to sections through lips, teeth, periodontium and alveolar bone. Text and captions take second place: here the image rules, and the work serves as a reference for oral surgery and facial aesthetics.
