What it is about

A reference work on the musculature of the locomotor system, written by an interdisciplinary team of anatomists, physicians, physiotherapists and athletes. The muscles are arranged by region, with an individual entry for each detailing its position, its function and the examination manoeuvres, supported by four-colour illustrations. The function tables are its most distinctive contribution: they describe the work of each muscle in relation to its synergists and antagonists, which is especially valuable when reasoning about muscle chains. The descriptions are short and direct, with abundant clinical references, making it equally practical for quick reference and for study.
